Show-Safe Level 1: Operations: Introduction to Security Operations Control
Know the Risks.Make the Calls.Judgement Under Pressure.
Show-Safe Level 1: Operations - Introduction to Security Operations Control (SOC) covers the wider range of decisions that control room and safety teams make, from the first moment something shifts through to a proportionate, documented response.
Control rooms and safety coordination teams face a particular set of demands: watching several information streams at once, recognising what early signals mean, making proportionate and defensible decisions against the clock, and coordinating across departments.
What you will develop
- Recognising a situation and judging when it crosses a threshold.
- Understanding how to make decisions in complex situations.
- Decision authority and clear roles in safety-critical settings.
- Communication and coordination frameworks for live incidents.
- Use of Halo software to capture and document decisions in real time.
- Evidenced competency in operational safety response.
The approach
Facilitated, scenario-led and deliberately uncomfortable. Participants work live situations in small teams, then interrogate their own decisions against the frameworks. Minimal lecture; maximum practice.
Who this is for
Security operations control staff, event control room operators, venue and event safety officers, and supervisors newly moving into control-room roles. No prior Bearing training is assumed.
Format
One day, in person.

Halo Solutions, alongside the Showstop Procedure.
