The short version
- This website does not set any cookies of its own.
- We do not use analytics, advertising or social media cookies.
- Two services we use can store information on your device, and only when you use them: a spam check when you send a form, and Eventbrite when you book a course.
- Because nothing optional is set, we do not show a cookie banner.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, do the same job in a different way. This policy covers all of them and calls them cookies. Some are strictly necessary for a service you have asked for. Others, such as analytics or advertising cookies, are optional and need your agreement before they are set.
Cookies we set
None. Browsing our pages and reading about our programmes do not save anything in your browser. Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so no font service sees your visit either.
Services that can set cookies when you use them
Cloudflare Turnstile
A security check that tells people from automated spam software.
- When
- Only when you reach your result in the Decision Diagnostic, or when you send the enquiry form.
- What it stores
- Cloudflare may store a small amount of information on your device inside the check itself. It uses your IP address and browser details to decide whether you are a person. It does not use them to identify, profile or advertise to you.
- Type
- Strictly necessary. The forms cannot be protected from spam without it, so it does not need your agreement.
- More detail
- Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy addendum (opens in a new tab)
Eventbrite checkout
The booking and payment window for our open courses.
- When
- Only when you press "Book a course" on our Book a Course page. Nothing from Eventbrite loads before that.
- What it stores
- Eventbrite sets its own cookies to run the checkout, keep your order together and take payment securely. They are Eventbrite’s, not ours, and we cannot read them.
- Type
- Strictly necessary to complete the booking you asked for. Eventbrite may also offer you its own optional cookies, which you can accept or refuse in its window.
- More detail
- Eventbrite’s cookie policy (opens in a new tab)
Other websites we link to
Some of our pages link to other websites, such as the Trivandi Academy for our e-learning and Eventbrite's own event pages. Those websites set their own cookies under their own policies once you arrive there.
How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. Blocking the services above will not stop you reading this website, but it may stop the spam check or the booking window from working. If that happens, you can always email us at hello@bearingconsultancy.co.uk instead, or book through Eventbrite's own page using the link beside each course.
If this changes
If we ever add optional cookies, such as analytics to understand how the website is used, we will ask for your agreement first, give you an equal choice to refuse, and update this policy before they are set.
