Decision-Making Under Pressure
Build the decision skills needed before the pressure is on.
This course focuses on how we think when things get fast, complicated and high-stakes, and gives us a practical structure for doing it better. Decision-Making Under Pressure is a one-day programme built on MBED (the Making Better Event Decisions Framework) and LSJF (the Live Situational Judgement Framework), and grounded in real operational environments.
What you develop
- How you personally handle risk, complexity and cognitive load (the mental load of too many decisions at once).
- How to recognise which decisions genuinely need your attention.
- A shared language for faster, more reliable team decisions.
- Practical tools: decision canvas templates, hazard identification frameworks and escalation structures.
Who this is for
- Event and venue operations, emergency and safety services, logistics and supply chain, customer-facing operational teams, community organisations, and leadership teams in the middle of rapid change.
Format
- One day in person or online, or four 90-minute modules.
